Meet Our Grooming Specialists

PRONOUNS HE/HIM

With over 30 years in the beauty industry, Xavier Cruz has cemented his reputation as one of the best in the business. A New York City native, Xavier began his career at 14, earning his license by 17 and spending nearly a decade traveling the country for Revlon before opening The Xavier Cruz Salon in 1997. His salon became a Chelsea hotspot, known for its chic, trendsetting work. Xavier’s expertise has graced the pages of GQ, Vogue, Elle, and Allure, and his career highlights include designing Anderson Cooper’s iconic '90s haircut, styling Eminem lookalikes for the MTV VMAs, working on Broadway hits like Hairspray and The Boy from Oz, and creating runway looks for Fashion Week.

PRONOUNS HE/HIM

Omar Felix was born in Mexico and raised in Las Vegas, NV. After traveling the world as a successful commercial dancer and actor on stage and screen; he developed a passion for hair, leading him to move to NYC and study at Carsten-Aveda. Shortly after receiving his license, he quickly became a lead stylist/colorist, working for Thierry Mugler, CFDA Fashion Awards, Clarins, and Valentino Beauty, to name a few. After 10 years in the industry, he opened Hair Flow Boutique in SoHo. Now, Omar has joined the team at Barba Grooming Boutique as a colorist/stylist.

PRONOUNS HE/HIM

William got his start in 2012 as an assistant at Oribe salon in Miami. Shortly after was afforded editorial opportunities for Elle and Harpers Bazaar, as well as music video shoots, Miami Fashion Week, and clients represented by Wilhelmina, elite and IMG. 

William later moved to NYC where he worked as a hairstylist for Privé. There he acquired additional work for Mumford and Sons, models represented by Wilhelmina, elite, and Q. He’s considered a master with color - Balayage, highlighting, double processing as well as extension specialist, and from the runways of Victoria Secret’s Bombshell Blowout.
